{"id":12232,"date":"2026-01-19T16:13:35","date_gmt":"2026-01-19T14:13:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sahfy.net\/news\/?p=12232"},"modified":"2026-01-19T16:13:35","modified_gmt":"2026-01-19T14:13:35","slug":"gourmet-egypt-com-for-food-products-gourmet-announces-its-intention-to-float-on-the-egyptian-exchange-egx","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sahfy.net\/news\/?p=12232&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"GOURMET\u00a0EGYPT.COM FOR FOOD PRODUCTS GOURMET ANNOUNCES ITS INTENTION TO FLOAT ON THE EGYPTIAN EXCHANGE EGX"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Gourmet Egypt.Com for Food Products (<b>\u201cGourmet\u201d<\/b>\u00a0or\u00a0<b>\u201cGE\u201d<\/b>\u00a0or the\u00a0<b>\u201cCompany\u201d<\/b>), a leading premium grocery retailer, today announced its intention to proceed with an initial public offering (the\u00a0<b>\u201cIPO\u201d<\/b>\u00a0or the\u00a0<b>\u201cOffering\u201d<\/b>) of its ordinary shares on the Egyptian Exchange (<b>\u201cEGX\u201d<\/b>).<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The Offering is expected to consist of a secondary sale of up to\u00a0<b>190,516,824<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><b>existing ordinary shares<\/b>, representing\u00a0<b>47.6% of the Company\u2019s issued share capital<\/b>, by B Investments Holding S.A.E (<b>\u201cB Investments\u201d<\/b>), Basem Abu Ghazaleh, Jalal Abu Ghazaleh, Deema Abu Ghazaleh and Amgad Sultan (together with B Investments, the\u00a0<b>\u201cSelling Shareholders\u201d<\/b>), while B Investments will remain invested in the Company with a 40% stake, demonstrating confidence in the business moving forward.<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The Offering will include (i) a private tranche to qualified investors in Egypt (\u201c<b>Private Tranche<\/b>\u201d) and (ii) a public tranche open for public subscription in Egypt (\u201c<b>Public Tranche<\/b>\u201d) (collectively the \u201c<b>Combined Offering<\/b>\u201d). Details of the Combined Offering are outlined in the Offering Highlights section, below.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Both the Private Tranche and Public Tranche will be offered at the same price per share (the \u201c<b>Offer Price<\/b>\u201d). The Offer Price will be determined through a book building process.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Gourmet is currently in the process of obtaining the required approvals with regards to the Offering, including approval of the public subscription notice (the\u00a0<b>\u201cPSN\u201d<\/b>) and any other approvals from the Financial Regulatory Authority (<b>\u201cFRA\u201d<\/b>) and the Egyptian Exchange.
